Job summary

You will build localisation and mapping for legged platforms and work on path planning, perception integration, and robust navigation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience with navigation or SLAM deployed on physical robots.
• Strong Python and C++ programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with SLAM, state estimation and sensor fusion.
• Comfort with drift, dynamic environments and degraded sensing.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate; on-site role.
• US citizen or green card holder; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Building localisation and mapping that holds up on a legged platform.
• Working on path planning, footstep planning and navigating around obstacles that move.
• Integrating navigation with perception and locomotion so the whole system behaves as one unit.
• Getting it running on the robot, in the real world, repeatably.
• Reporting directly to the founders with a strong wide team to collaborate with.
