Job summary

CAE USA Inc. seeks a Software Engineer to support real-time simulation for B-2 aircraft training systems. You will help model and simulate complex systems, test and document software, and work with multidisciplinary teams to meet demanding customer requirements.

The role requires a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, strong problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret DoD clearance. Overtime and CONUS travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to apply sound engineering principles and develop innovative solutions.
• Experience implementing functional requirements for computer software.
• Software languages: FORTRAN, C/C++, Ada, C#, Java, Python.
• Excellent communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening.
• Proven success in a fast-paced development environment and willingness to take ownership.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to obtain a Top-Secret DoD security clearance.
• Flexibility to support overtime, weekend work, shift work and travel (CONUS).
• General computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contract.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and develop software to model and simulate real-time systems.
• Test systems and integrate/debug/document software programs to meet requirements.
• Design, develop, code, integrate and test simulation software to meet requirements.
• Apply software engineering methods to develop or modify models and algorithms.
• Learn and become proficient in a variety of software languages and tools.
• Provide solutions and feedback to projects as a customer-oriented team member.
• Work with engineers to ensure corrections are completed in a timely fashion.
