Job summary
CAE USA Inc. in Binghamton, NY is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain flight and mission simulators, delivering reliable real-time performance for pilot training and defense readiness.
You will modify legacy code, integrate hardware with software, and contribute in Waterfall and Agile/Scrum environments while pursuing DoD security requirements.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/CE, 5+ years in real-time systems, DoD Secret clearance, and willingness to travel CONUS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering in mission-critical or real-time environments.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Willingness for overtime, shift work, and CONUS travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for flight and mission simulators.
- Modernize legacy code while ensuring reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware.
- Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time systems.
