Job summary

NGV Talent in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Dispatcher to lead day-to-day autonomous trucking operations from our Lancaster terminal. The role requires initiative, strong judgment, and a clear point of view on running a high‑performing operation.

You will coordinate crews, trucks, and active missions in real time, identify gaps, improve processes, and raise execution standards across the operation. The strongest candidate will own problems, make decisions under pressure, and help scale the team

Qualifications

• 2+ years in dispatch, fleet operations, or a technical operations environment.
• Initiative and ability to own decisions without direction.
• Strong judgment under pressure and risk awareness.
• Identify process gaps and propose practical improvements.
• Demonstrated leadership, including coaching or supervision.
• Vision for improving and scaling an operation.
• Linux, scripting or terminal experience; troubleshoot hardware/software.
• Strong real-time coordination and prioritization skills.
• Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA Hours of Service rules.
• Clear written communication; comfortable working in ambiguity.
• Able to work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own day-of execution across crews, trucks, trailers, and active missions.
• Identify risks early and take action before issues escalate.
• Make real-time decisions around mission execution and fleet health.
• Identify recurring gaps and improve how the operation runs.
• Develop and implement stronger processes, handoffs, and standards.
• Monitor active missions, autonomy health, and fleet status in real time.
• Coordinate across operations, engineering, fleet readiness, safety, and commercial teams.
• Serve as first line of response for technical and operational issues.
• Maintain accurate mission records, logs, delays, and shift handoffs.
• Communicate changes with customers, sites, and carrier partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop Fleet Specialists.
• Raise performance, accountability, and operational consistency.
