Job summary

Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) seeks an Embedded Systems Engineer to design, develop, and support embedded hardware and firmware for the NTC and Nomad platforms.

You will implement C/C++ firmware, integrate sensors and interfaces, and work in Linux-based environments while collaborating across mechanical, software, and production teams to improve reliability and determinism in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years embedded systems engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with Linux environments and containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS.
• Exposure to robotics, automotive, aerospace domains is a plus.
• Experience with embedded networking basics and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support embedded hardware and firmware for NTC and Nomad platforms.
• Develop firmware and control logic using C/C++ for MCUs and processors.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and networking interfaces used by NTC.
• Work in Linux-based environments including Docker.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
• Prototype and test next-generation capabilities (AI monitoring, edge ML).
