Job summary
Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX. The role involves designing, developing and implementing embedded software, with emphasis on C++ on Linux and some Ada familiarity. The candidate will analyze algorithms from systems engineering to guide architecture decisions and work within an Agile team.
Experience with RTI DDS is a plus, and duties include integration and delivery across Linux/Rocky targets. A Secret clearance is required.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance with most recent investigation in the last 5 years.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Real-time embedded software development experience using C++ with Linux.
- Integration and test experience involving software and hardware.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement embedded software for the system.
- Analyze algorithm descriptions from systems engineering and existing code to determine architecture changes.
- Develop software following Agile methodology for Linux/Rocky targets.
- Work on DDS-related components and software integration tasks.
