Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to design and implement real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military applications. You will architect, develop, and test software across the full lifecycle and support field demonstrations and customer needs.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, are U.S. citizens eligible for a DoD clearance, and have hands-on experience with C/C++, Ada, Python, and embedded tools such as Eclipse, Jira, and Jama.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
• Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active Secret clearance required after day 1.
• Experience with embedded hardware/software development.
• Strong communication, documentation, and security certification skills.
• Experience with embedded hardware, real-time systems, and Kalman Filter theory.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of the software engineering life cycle from requirements to documentation.
• Architect, design, and develop software for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions.
• Develop software tools and support field demonstrations.
• Provide customer support and mentor other engineers.
• Apply GPS/PNT systems knowledge to navigation products for military applications.
• Contribute to positioning, navigation and timing products for warfighters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure security compliance.
