Job summary

NEURA Robotics in the United States is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to design and implement real-time software across the embedded stack. You will work on BSPs, drivers, RTOS applications, and middleware for safe, deterministic robot control.

You will integrate sensors, actuators, and communications interfaces, contribute to OTA updates, and collaborate with electronics and AI/software teams to deliver deterministic performance for complex cognitive robots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems.
• 3+ years of professional embedded firmware development in real-time, resource-constrained environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, port, and maintain BSPs and low-level drivers for ARM Cortex targets.
• Design RTOS architectures and real-time task structures for safety-critical apps.
• Integrate sensors and actuators into firmware with filtering and timestamping.
• Implement embedded communication stacks (CAN-FD, EtherCAT, middleware).
• Ensure safety monitoring, watchdogs, and power-loss handling in firmware.
• Develop OTA/boot/firmware update mechanisms and versioning aligned with PLM.
• Write unit/integration tests and support CI/CD for firmware.
• Collaborate with electronics and mechanical engineers at HW/SW boundary.
