Job summary

RTX is seeking a DSP Software Engineer in State College, PA to design and implement signal processing capabilities for RF and wireless systems. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-performance, real-time applications in a Linux environment using Python, C++, PyQt, and X-Midas tools.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, a TS/SCI clearance, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience programming in Python and C++.
• Experience developing in Linux environments.
• Experience with DSP and RF communication systems.
• Experience with object-oriented design and development.
• Experience GUI development with PyQt/Qt.
• Experience with multi-threaded applications.
• Experience with MySQL databases.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of new signal processing capabilities.
• Design and develop software solutions that support RF signal processing and wireless communications systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create high-performance real-time applications.
• Develop software for RF signal processing and wireless protocols.
• Develop and optimize real-time signal processing applications using Python and C++ on Linux.
• Build and enhance X-Midas applications, primitives, macros, and data processing tools.
• Create intuitive GUI tools using PyQt for engineering and data analysis.
• Develop multi-threaded applications for high-throughput data processing.
• Interface software with MySQL databases and automate processing toolsets.
