Job summary

Leidos seeks a Data Analytics & Visualization Engineer for the GAINS Team under GSM-O II to transform raw data into reliable datasets and deliver actionable insights through Kibana dashboards and other visualization tools. The role focuses on data quality, analytics, and effective communication to stakeholders within a fast-paced, Agile environment.

You will collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to design, develop, and demonstrate UI mockups and dashboards, ensuring accessibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics and visualization.
• Experience designing dashboards and data visualizations with Kibana.
• Hands-on data cleaning, transformation, and analysis using Python, SQL, or R.
• Strong data modeling, ETL, and data pipeline development.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions and insights.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources for accuracy and usability.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and operational insights.
• Design and develop interactive Kibana dashboards and dashboards in other tools as needed.
• Apply UI/UX visualization principles to ensure clear findings for stakeholders.
• Translate analytics into actionable recommendations and present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and data requirements.
• Refine data transformation pipelines and maintain data quality and reliability.
• Develop self-service analytics tools and reusable data assets for end users.
• Document data models, business logic, and analytics workflows.
