Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Data Analytics & Visualization Engineer to transform raw data into clean datasets and deliver actionable insights via Kibana-driven dashboards. You will bridge data and operation decisions on the GAINS team, collaborating with end users, data engineers, and analysts to deliver a unified UX/UI and self-service analytics assets.

Role requires strong data visualization skills, Python/SQL expertise, and the ability to obtain interim Secret DoD clearance with Security+ within 14

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building Kibana visualizations and dashboards.
• Hands-on data cleaning, transformation, and analysis with Python, SQL, or R.
• Strong data modeling, ETL, and data pipeline development understanding.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with version control and collaborative development environments.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret DoD clearance and Security+ within 14 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and insights for operational questions.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Kibana as the primary tool.
• Apply UI/visual design principles to ensure accessible, effective visualizations.
• Translate analytical results into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and data requirements.
• Refine and maintain data transformation pipelines for reliability and alignment with business logic.
• Develop self-service analytics tools and reusable data assets.
• Document data models, logic, and analytics workflows for transparency.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts on integrated data solutions.
