Job summary

Leidos is hiring a SQL Engineer to support a high-visibility, data-driven application enabling analytics and reporting across the organization. You will write complex SQL queries, shape data for dashboards, ensure data accuracy, and deliver reliable datasets that stakeholders rely on daily.

The role collaborates with dashboard developers and application teams, with opportunities across multiple on-site locations.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field; 4–8 years experience or Master’s with 2–6 years.
US Citizenship required; Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Strong SQL skills with advanced queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries, window functions).
Experience with enterprise relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
Background supporting analytics, dashboards, or reporting pipelines.
Comfortable in Linux-based environments.
Proven ability to work independently on data-centric tasks and ensure data quality.

Responsibilities

Write complex SQL queries to support dashboards and analytics.
Shape data for visualization; ensure clean, consistent outputs.
Partner with dashboard developers to deliver data for visualizations and reporting.
Validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness of datasets for dashboards.
Identify and implement basic query performance improvements for responsive dashboards.
Translate dashboard and reporting requirements into effective SQL queries.
