Job summary

ASCEND Aerospace & Technology, LLC (ASCEND) is seeking a software engineer to support the NASA Johnson Space Center Training Systems (TS) facilities in Houston, TX. The role focuses on real-time software for the Orion Simulation Framework, using C++ in a Linux/UNIX environment within an Agile process.

You will develop, maintain, and integrate software for the SLS/Orion simulations, collaborate with system engineers and users, and contribute to test verification and documentation to ensure flight

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree.
• Ability to obtain NASA PIV badge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software for NASA JSC Training Systems.
• Support the Orion Simulation Framework systems.
• Design, develop, and integrate Orion systems and interfaces.
• Perform software builds and integrate with other developers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.
• Document changes and test results; coordinate with internal/external partners.
