Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to lead the data architecture for a hybrid cloud data mesh platform in the Air Traffic domain. The role focuses on real-time data streams, data governance, and AI-enabled development within a mission-critical government program.

Responsibilities include defining data mesh architecture, establishing governance, designing real-time pipelines, and guiding data products and contracts across legacy and modern systems.

Qualifications

• Lead enterprise data architecture for a hybrid cloud data mesh platform.
• Experience with data governance, contracts, and data lineage.
• Strong leadership for large-scale platforms and cross-ART collaboration.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Define the data mesh architecture including domain boundaries and data products.
• Establish enterprise data governance framework and standards.
• Design real-time streaming data pipelines for operational aviation data.
• Architect event-driven data integration patterns across platform services.
• Define data product standards including contracts, quality, and discoverability.
• Develop data integration strategy across legacy and modern systems.
• Plan and oversee legacy data migration to the new platform.
• Establish data quality standards, monitoring, and remediation processes.
• Coordinate cross-ART data architecture decisions.
• Implement metadata management and data cataloging solutions.
• Define data architecture for ATC data including real-time processing and low-latency access.
• Establish data contracts and schema governance for interoperability.
• Design latency management for time-critical ATC data flows.
• Implement data lineage tracking from source to consumption.
• Champion AI-first engineering culture to improve productivity and quality.
