Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to lead data mesh architecture for a hybrid cloud platform supporting real-time air traffic management. You will define domain boundaries, data products, and governance, while shaping data contracts, quality, and discoverability across legacy and modern systems.

The role requires 12+ years in data architecture (or 10+ with a Master’s), leadership in large platforms, and experience with streaming systems like Kafka, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of data architecture experience or 10+ years with a Master’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience leading enterprise data architecture for large-scale platforms.
• Experience designing data mesh architectures and implementing governance.

Responsibilities

• Define the data mesh architecture including domain boundaries and data products.
• Establish the enterprise data governance framework and standards.
• Design real-time streaming data pipelines for operational aviation data.
• Architect event-driven data integration patterns across platform services.
• Define data product standards including contracts, quality, and discoverability.
• Develop the data integration strategy across legacy and modern systems.
• Plan and oversee legacy data migration to the new platform architecture.
