Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Lakewood, CO invites applications for a Full-Time Assistant Professor in Animation with expertise in Real-Time Animation and Unreal Engine integration. You will teach across Animation and Game Arts, develop curricula, advise students, and collaborate with department chairs.

Candidates should hold a graduate degree in Animation or a related field, demonstrate proficiency in Maya and Toon Boom, and show commitment to inclusive teaching and curricular

Qualifications

• Graduate degree (MA, MS, MFA, MDes or equivalent) in Animation, Game Art, Game Design, relevant Motion Graphics, OR a bachelor’s degree with sustained professional work in these areas.
• Proficiency using and teaching industry-leading 2D + 3D animation software (Maya, Unreal Engine, Harmony, Photoshop, After Effects).
• Evidence of effective and inclusive teaching that values a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full instructional load across Animation and Game Arts, with regular office hours and student advising.
• Develop and deliver courses such as Fundamentals of Animated Storytelling, Storyboarding, 2D/3D Animation Sequences, Rigging and Pipelines.
• Maintain high teaching effectiveness through evaluations and student outcomes.
