OWN Real Estate is seeking a versatile Videographer/Photographer to own photo, video, and drone work for listings, walkthroughs, and Bay Area b-roll libraries. You’ll collaborate with two in-house editors, an editing agency, and other contractors to deliver compelling content.
Ideal candidates have real estate or architectural visuals, strong lighting and audio skills, and a valid FAA Part 107 drone license. Some travel across the Bay Area, early mornings, and weekends will be required.
Millbrae, CA (Peninsula/SF Bay Area) · Full-time or contract
OWN Real Estate is a residential team based on the Peninsula. We help sellers and buyers across San Mateo County, San Francisco, and the South Bay. We also run a big content operation: the @bayareawilson YouTube channel and Instagram Reels, the bayarealocal house-tour page, and an SEO blog on theownteam.com. Video is how most clients find us, so this role is central to how we grow.
You'll own photo, video, and drone work across four areas.
Listing shoots. You'll shoot MLS-ready photos (interiors, exteriors, twilight and detail shots) and short listing videos that make each home look its best. That includes drone photos and video that show off the lot, the views, and the neighborhood. You'll work to tight timelines between prep, staging, and going live.
Walkthrough shoots. You'll film narrated house tours and walkthroughs with our agents for YouTube and Instagram. That means gimbal work, clean audio, drone openers and aerial transitions, and shooting with the edit in mind.
B-roll library around the Bay. You'll build and organize a reusable library of neighborhoods, downtowns, parks, landmarks, new developments, and seasonal events from SF down to the South Bay, both from the ground and from the air. Our long-form videos, Shorts, and blog posts all pull from it.
Team events and culture. You'll cover client events, team gatherings, community events, and behind-the-scenes moments in both photo and video for social media and recruiting.
You'll be part of a team that includes two full-time in-house editors, one contracted editing agency, and two outside contract editors. You'll hand off well-organized footage with shot notes, help plan shot lists ahead of each shoot, and take their feedback on coverage so every edit has what it needs.
Plan and run shoots from a shared content calendar, often several in a week.
Plan and fly drone shots safely and legally, including checking airspace and getting any authorizations a location needs.
Cull and color-correct photos, and do light video edits when a quick turnaround matters. Full edits go to the editing team.
Keep footage organized in Google Drive with consistent naming and tagging, so any editor on the team can find a clip fast.
Work with our scriptwriters, editors, and agents on shot lists for upcoming videos.
Keep camera and drone gear maintained and ready to go.
We shoot on Sony and stream or record live with a Cam Link 4K. On the AI side, we use Claude, Higgsfield, Grok Bot, Gemini, and Suno, and we run everything on Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, and Sheets). If you're curious about AI tools in a creative workflow, you'll fit right in.
A portfolio that shows real estate, architectural, or lifestyle work. Walkthrough or tour video is a big plus.
Strong skills in both photo and video: composition, lighting interiors, stabilized movement, and clean audio.
An FAA Part 107 drone license and a drone reel that shows smooth, cinematic aerials.
Comfort with Lightroom plus Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
Experience with vertical short-form (Reels, Shorts) and a sense of what keeps people watching.
You're used to working with editors and know how to shoot so an edit comes together easily.
A reliable vehicle and willingness to travel across the Bay Area. Some early mornings, twilight shoots, and weekends will come up.
You're organized, communicate well, and are easy to have on site with clients and their homes.
Tell us what equipment you own, whether that's cameras, lenses, a gimbal, lighting, audio, or a drone.
Matterport or floor-plan capture experience.
You speak a second language.
You've worked on social media management or sales funnels before, or you'd like to learn how content turns into clients.
You've shot on Sony.
