Job summary

F2 Finance in Santa Monica is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our real estate lending team. You will support processing and underwriting residential bridge loans from submission to close, reviewing borrower and property data, and preparing underwriting materials.

You will collaborate with loan officers, brokers, and title teams while helping test and improve our AI underwriting and processing system to scale deals with speed and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in loan processing and/or underwriting.
• Experience in private lending or residential bridge lending.
• Ability to work in-office in Santa Monica, CA.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review loan submissions and organize borrower, broker, and property information.
• Assist with underwriting residential bridge loans and investor property loans.
• Review borrower experience, credits, liquidity, documents, and transaction rationale.
• Coordinate diligence, appraisals, title, escrow, and other materials.
• Support testing and improvement of AI underwriting and processing workflows.
