Job summary

Latitude is seeking an experienced real estate transactions attorney for a three-to-six-month contract engagement in Boston, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.

The role supports the firm's real estate and transactional practices, including financing, development, leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions, with a hybrid onsite schedule three days per week in downtown Boston.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantial commercial real estate and transactional experience.
• Community development or nonprofit experience is a plus; familiarity with construction, land use, title, or affordable housing matters is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical legal advice
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience at a well-regarded law firm and/or in-house legal team
• Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active MA Bar licensure required
• Outstanding professional references

Real Estate Transactions Attorney (Hybrid Engagement, Boston)

Latitude is seeking an experienced real estate attorney for a three-to-six-month contract engagement with an established Boston boutique law firm, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position. The attorney will support the firm's busy real estate and transactional practices, including commercial real estate financing, development, leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions.

This role is hybrid, onsite three days per week, in downtown Boston.

Requirements For The Real Estate Transactions Attorney

Position Details Of The Real Estate Transactions Attorney

• Type of role: Contract (potential for conversion to permanent); temporary only candidates are also welcome.
• Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, with full time preferred
• Location: Hybrid, onsite Monday – Wednesday in downtown Boston

Compensation

• Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $180,000 to $250,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
• Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
