Job summary

Advocates Legal Recruiting is assisting an AmLaw 100 real estate practice in Dallas to hire a mid-to-senior associate focused on debt finance and joint venture work. The role covers mortgage and mezzanine debt transactions, equity JV structures, and acquisitions/dispositions of commercial real estate assets.

You will run core deal pieces, work directly with partners, and interact with clients, with mentoring from partners who remain active in deal execution.

Qualifications

• Mid-level to senior associates with meaningful real estate transactional experience.
• Background in debt finance, equity joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, or development.
• Strong transactional lawyers from adjacent practices who want to transition into real estate will be considered.
• Lawyers who value training, partner access, and a professional but functional culture.

Responsibilities

• Handle mortgage and mezzanine debt transactions on the lender and borrower side.
• Structure and manage joint venture equity transactions.
• Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets.
• Run core pieces of deals and interact directly with partners and clients.
