The Real Estate Services Clerk examines and records real estate documents, both paper and electronic, via ROD's land records software. Provides written and/or verbal explanations as to what is statutorily missing and/or incorrect to real estate professionals and the public. Conducts general research and assists customers with location of recorded documents. Fields inquiries from customers regarding real estate recordings and maintains an accurate index of all recordings.
This position requires the ability to record, archive, retrieve and publish records of ownership, restrictions, easements, valid liens/encumbrances and repayment of liens. This work determines legal ownership and lien position of real estate and is essential for consumers and developers to use real estate as collateral for loans and economic development. The work completed in this position requires unwavering accuracy, as errors negatively impact property owners and industry partners. The highest level of customer service skill is required
