Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for the Full Time Emergency Dispatch Desk in Sterling, VA. You will coordinate security-related communications, monitor access control, document incidents, and support response efforts at a commercial real estate site.

The role requires supervisory experience, security knowledge, and excellent customer service skills; the schedule and pay reflect full-time evening/night shifts with a starting hourly rate of $23.36.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and onsite personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and document service requests, and coordinate the response of onsite personnel to routine incidents, alarms, and critical situations.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports, including details of calls received, actions taken, personnel dispatched, and follow-up notifications.
• Communicate professionally with building management, emergency responders, and onsite teams while responding to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the property perimeter, as required by site procedures, and report security-related concerns.
