A busy boutique Long Island real estate law firm is seeking a full-time Real Estate Paralegal to join our growing team. The firm's identity will be disclosed to candidates selected for an interview.

We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, personable, and committed to providing an exceptional client experience. Prior real estate or paralegal experience is welcome but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate interested in beginning a career in the legal field, as well as for an experienced real estate paralegal looking for a new opportunity.

The Position

The paralegal will work closely with our attorneys and clients throughout residential real estate transactions, handling both purchaser and seller files from contract through closing.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing purchaser and seller residential real estate files from contract through closing
• Maintaining regular communication with clients and providing updates throughout their transactions
• Communicating with attorneys, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and other parties
• Opening and maintaining client files and monitoring transaction deadlines
• Ordering and reviewing title reports, surveys, municipal searches, and related documents
• Following up on title, lien, permit, and closing issues
• Preparing correspondence, closing documents, and other transaction-related documents
• Coordinating with lenders, title companies, brokers, and opposing counsel
• Scheduling and coordinating real estate closings
• Maintaining accurate and organized electronic files
• Assisting attorneys and other team members as needed

Compensation
