Job summary

Simpson Judge USA, a leading global law firm, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its New York team. You will review title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and other due diligence documents to support complex commercial real estate loans, dispositions, and sale transactions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CRE paralegal experience, a bachelor’s degree, and is familiar with title, survey, and zoning. Paralegal certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Real Estate Paralegal experience in a large or global firm.
• Strong CRE transaction experience with lending, dispositions, and sale transactions.
• Solid knowledge of title, survey, and zoning examination; excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and due diligence documents.
• Identify and help resolve title, survey, and zoning issues; negotiate title reports.
• Draft, edit, and conform legal documents and correspondence.
• Coordinate title, survey, zoning, and third-party services during transactions.
• Support escrow closings for purchase, sale, and financing transactions, including documents and settlement statements.
• Coordinate closing logistics with attorneys, clients, and other parties.
• Handle post-closing matters, including UCC filings and closing binders.
• Coordinate outside vendors and manage related bills and disbursement paperwork.
• Provide supervision and guidance to project assistants and staff when required.

A leading global law firm with a prominent Real Estate and Financial Markets practice is looking for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its New York team. The firm represents institutional investors and lenders in complex commercial real estate loans, dispositions, and sale transactions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related due diligence documents
• Identify, summarize, and help resolve title, survey, and zoning issues, including negotiating title insurance and related reports
• Draft, edit, and conform legal documents and correspondence
• Coordinate title, survey, zoning, and other third-party services throughout transactions
• Support escrow closings for purchase, sale, and financing transactions, including closing documents, settlement statements, signature pages, execution, recording, and document delivery
• Coordinate closing logistics with attorneys, clients, and other parties
• Handle post-closing matters, including UCC filings and preparation of closing binders
• Coordinate outside vendors and manage related bills and disbursement paperwork
• Provide general supervision and guidance to project assistants and other clerical staff when required
