Job summary

Levenfeld Pearlstein seeks an experienced real estate transactional attorney to handle acquisitions, dispositions and financing matters for a national client base. The role emphasizes collaboration within LP's Real Estate group and requires strong communication, independence, and drive.

You will manage closing documents, due diligence, title reviews, and coordinating closings with clients, lenders, and title companies, while contributing to a sophisticated real estate practice recognized

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of real estate transactional and finance experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong technical skills with MS Office, iManage and Adobe a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, purchase and sale agreements as the transactions progress.
• Prepare closing checklists and track critical dates.
• Review title, survey, and zoning; prepare objection notices and responses.
• Coordinate and facilitate tax clearance/bulk sales.
• Prepare estoppels, SNDAs, and closing documents.
• Conduct due diligence: ordering, reviewing, and summarizing searches.
• Review leases and abstracts; file UCC Financing Statements.
• Coordinate closings with clients, title companies, and lenders; prepare electronic closing binders.
• Utilize docketing system to track matters and communicate with clients.

Position

LP's real estate group represents clients ranging from mid-sized companies to large national and global companies in the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial, industrial, multi-family, manufactured housing and retail properties. The group has robust commercial leasing, joint venture and development practices. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with acquisitions, dispositions and financing in all practice areas. Experience that makes you a fit

• Reviewing contracts/purchase & sale agreements
• Preparing closing checklists, calculating critical dates and maintaining both as the transaction progresses
• Reviewing title, survey and zoning; preparing objection notices and response letters; experience with clearing title matters and knowledge of ALTA survey standards
• Research and facilitating local requirements and tax clearance/bulk sales
• Preparation of estoppels and SNDAs
• Preparing and reviewing closing documents
• Due diligence process including ordering, reviewing and summarizing searches
• Reviewing leases and abstracts
• Preparing and filing UCC Financing Statements
• Preparing and reviewing closing documents
• Preparing and facilitating all aspects of closings with client, title companies and lenders
• Overseeing preparation of electronic closing binders
• Effectively utilizing the firm's docketing system to track matters
• Communicating with clients and third parties throughout the course of a matter

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant real estate transactional and finance experience (will consider less experience for otherwise qualified candidate)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong technical skills (Knowledge of Microsoft Office, iManage and Adobe is a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and ability to adjust to changing project priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Ability to delegate appropriate tasks
• A demonstrated commitment to providing superior client service
• Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed

Salary and benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000. LP believes this is the pay range it will pay for this position at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be contingent on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant and the requirements of the position.
