Books-A-Million is seeking a Real Estate Intern for our Charleston, SC office. The role supports the Real Estate team with market research, site analysis, asset management, and deal support, under the VP of Real Estate in Charleston.

Ideal candidates are rising juniors/seniors in Real Estate/Finance/Business, with strong analytical skills, Excel/PowerPoint proficiency, and a drive to learn how a national retailer makes real estate decisions.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or rising senior pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools.
• Ability to work on-site at our Charleston, SC office.

Responsibilities

• Support market & site research for potential new store locations.
• Analyze competitors, retailers, and surrounding trade areas.
• Assist with portfolio analysis and deal support.
• Organize and maintain real estate data and property information.
• Identify opportunities to improve team processes and analysis.
• Support active deals with research, maps, and presentations.
• Develop letters of intent with brokers.
• Prepare final summary of key findings and opportunities.
