Job summary

SECU is seeking a Document Review Specialist to oversee post-closing audit reviews of real estate loan documentation. You will ensure compliance with TILA/RESPA and SECU policies, review closing disclosures, and manage file tracking from disbursement to final storage.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a business/finance-related field is required; additional three years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree.
• Minimum 2–5 years of direct experience in real estate lending.
• Strong working knowledge of federal lending guidelines (Reg B, Reg Z, Reg P, UDAAP).
• Ability to learn additional federal/state guidelines, including RESPA and NC/GA statutes.
• Experience entering and interpreting data in Mortgage Origination/Servicing systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Audit executed real estate closing packages for regulatory compliance and SECU policies.
• Audit closing fees and escrow disbursements against disclosures; report discrepancies and re-disclose as needed.
• Maintain consolidated records of closing packages and corrections; organize physical documents prior to storage.
• Communicate with internal departments and closing agents to resolve discrepancies and re-execute documents when required.
• Field inquiries from members, departments, and closing agents about documentation and disbursements.
