The role requires JD, active state bar, and 3+ years in real estate law; candidate should manage multiple contracts while collaborating with business leaders to minimize risk and drive growth. Onsite in Des Moines, IA.

Qualifikationen

• JD from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in at least one U.S. state.
• Minimum 3 years of real estate legal experience with contract drafting, title review, and survey familiarity.
• Ability to collaborate with business leaders to balance risk and goals.
• Experience working directly with clients, in-house or at a law firm.
• Experience juggling multiple contracts with competing priorities.

Aufgaben

• Advise Casey's Real Estate, Business Development, and Construction teams on legal matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage real estate agreements (purchase/sale, leases, easements, development contracts).
• Lead due diligence for real estate transactions (title, survey, environmental, permitting).
• Counsel on zoning, land use, permitting, and development matters.
• Handle real estate disputes, landlord-tenant issues, and construction claims.
• Review condemnation and eminent domain matters.
• Assist with zoning changes and governmental approvals.
• Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline contracting and approvals.
• Build relationships across the organization to ensure compliance and support growth.
