Job summary

Propel Recruitment is partnering with a dynamic real estate investment firm to identify an Investment Associate for its peninsula-based team. You will work across acquisitions, asset management, portfolio analysis, financing and strategic investment decisions, evaluating opportunities and assets throughout the full investment lifecycle.

This role requires strong financial modeling, market research, and the ability to challenge assumptions.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate investments, acquisitions or asset management.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; Argus experience is a plus.
• Ability to independently research, analyze and draw conclusions.
• Strong understanding of real estate valuation and investment fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze prospective acquisitions and investment opportunities.
• Evaluate existing assets, portfolio performance and strategic alternatives.
• Prepare buy/sell, hold and other investment analyses.
• Analyze debt, financing alternatives and their impact on investment performance.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models.
• Research market rents, comparable properties and underwriting assumptions.
• Evaluate property and market data to identify risks, opportunities and trends.
• Support due diligence and transaction analysis.
• Prepare investment analyses and presentations for senior leadership.
• Assist with executive and board-level materials.
• Partner across asset management, operations and other areas of the organization.
• Visit properties as appropriate to support investment and asset-level analysis.
