Job summary

Royal Search Group is seeking an Associate, Fund Accounting for our client, a private equity real estate firm in Charlotte. The role focuses on accounting, reporting, and cash activities for real estate investment entities, partnering with internal Accounting and Investor Relations to support operating results and capital raise activities.

Ideal candidates may have fund accounting exposure; the position is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in real estate and private equity fund

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years accounting experience.
• Strong GL and month-end close understanding.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accrual-based accounting for real estate investment entities.
• Record journal entries for investor closings including cash receipts and expenses.
• Process accounts payable for entities with timely entry and payments.
• Calculate monthly investor cash distributions and record related GL entries.
• Review and reconcile GL activity to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete month-end close activities including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Maintain tracking of investor capital accounts.
• Prepare tax support documents and financial statement audits.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc investor reporting.
• Participate in process improvements for scalability and controls.
