Job summary
Paul Hastings’ Band 1 Real Estate Department seeks a Mid-Level Associate with 4–6 years of CRE experience to join our Real Estate Finance team in NY or Charlotte, NC. Ideal candidates will have mortgage and subordinate CRE loan experience, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity, with construction lending or repurchase facilities as a plus.
Strong drafting skills on JV and loan documents are essential.

- 4–6 years of relevant experience in real estate finance.
- Experience representing lenders on mortgage and subordinate CRE loans (mezzanine loans, preferred equity).
- Able to draft and review main transactional documents (loan and joint venture agreements).
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate loan agreements and related documents.
- Draft and review joint venture agreements and other transactional documents.
- Interact with clients and deal teams; manage deal timelines and expectations.
