Job summary

Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a Baltimore-based family-owned commercial real estate company to hire a Director of Real Estate & Facilities. This role blends commercial real estate, facilities management, construction oversight, and capital projects across a diverse portfolio of shopping centers and office properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management/Property Management preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant project management experience in commercial real estate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and understand building and site plans.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs using architectural/engineering scales is a plus.
• Working knowledge of project budgeting and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Manage communication and project oversight with vendors and contractors.
• Solicit project interest, pricing, and bids from vendors and develop new relationships.
• Assist with developing project budgets, scopes of work, and contracts.
• Perform quality control inspections and document deficiencies.
• Conduct building/site evaluations to identify maintenance and capital improvement opportunities.
• Document inspections, evaluations, and findings.
• Maintain and update project schedules to ensure progress.
• Monitor project costs and assist with cost control and change orders.
• Assist with annual property and departmental budgets.
• Maintain building/site information to streamline processes and access to data.
• Support departmental initiatives and complete assigned tasks.
