Gilbane Building Company in Providence, RI is seeking a Real Estate Development Intern focused on Finance to support its finance and development teams for Summer 2027. The internship is onsite at the Providence office, with a housing allowance not provided.

Responsibilities include updating market summaries, maintaining the development database, assisting with due diligence and deal flow, and supporting historical data entry for the development software platform.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a graduate program or bachelor's degree program, or completed a bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a similar major.
Prior experience with commercial real estate preferred.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Update market summaries for targeted development areas.
Update database capturing tap/impact/permit fees, taxes, etc. for each jurisdiction in which we are currently doing business, as well as those which we have targeted for future growth.
Assist the development team with due diligence tasks related to project-specific underwriting.
Support the deal flow and approval process, assisting with preparation for (and attending) weekly deal committee meetings.
Assist with gathering historical data to populate development software platform.
Assist other department development analysts as needed.
