Berkshire Residential Investments seeks a Sr Manager, Debt Accounting to oversee debt investment portfolios and related corporate entity accounting, delivering timely, accurate financial statements for assigned portfolios.

The role requires managing staff (including offshore resources), preparing fund statements, audits, and investor-ready reports, while enhancing internal controls and ensuring REIT compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical accounting experience.
• Demonstrated management skills with track record of building teams and mentoring talent, in-person and virtual.
• General ledger maintenance including consolidations and eliminations.
• Practical accounting knowledge of account balances.
• Full disclosure financial statement preparation including footnotes.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• REIT tax compliance.
• Aptitude for organizing and prioritizing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee portfolio of debt investments ensuring deadlines are met and processes are performed monthly, quarterly.
• Oversee accounting staff and review reconciliations and financial statements for accuracy.
• Prepare fund financial statements and consolidation entries for funds.
• Manage external audit process and timely reporting.
• Produce quarterly reports aligned with LPA and side letters.
• Assist with investor reporting and ad hoc requests.
• Understand returns calculations (TWR/IRR) and dividend yields.
• Lead group projects and improve internal controls and procedures.
• Develop team members and manage offshore resources.
• Coordinate capital calls and notices for funds.
