Job summary

Berkshire Residential Investments is seeking a Senior Accountant, Debt to join our team and produce monthly financial statements for assigned portfolios. You will oversee the monthly close, review reconciliations, and assist with investor reports, while coordinating with offshore staff accountants.

Qualifications

• Two plus (2+) years of experience in accounting; real estate experience preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of the accounting cycle, account classifications, debits, and credits.
• Demonstrated multi-modal communication style that reaches every stakeholder, including senior management.
• Demonstrate high ethics and integrity with discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned portfolio or corporate entities.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual investor reports.
• Lead monthly close processes and ensure reconciliations are accurate.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate and oversee offshore staff accountants and monitor deadlines.
• Provide coaching and issue resolution to offshore team members.
