Job summary

Builders Capital Exchange is seeking an experienced Creditor Rights Paralegal to support real estate transactions, loan origination, servicing matters, and defaulted loans. You will help train teams on real estate legal issues and develop internal processes across the organization.

The role emphasizes reviewing title commitments, coordinating with attorneys, and ensuring accurate documentation for complex loan closings in a fast-growing national lending environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting real estate transactions or commercial lending.
• Experience with defaulted loans, loan workouts, or special assets is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of real estate and lending documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review title commitments, exceptions, plats, surveys; coordinate with Title Team and outside counsel for lender title policies.
• Collaborate with corporate counsel, closing team, title team, and loan officers on transactional issues.
• Review borrower organizational documents to determine signature blocks and consent requirements.
• Coordinate with production team to obtain additional organizational information as needed.
• Assist with questions from Servicing Team on partial releases, subordinate debt, easements, and related issues; prepare docs.
• Research legal questions across multiple jurisdictions.
