Job summary

Phillips Edison & Company in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a real estate attorney to lead the legal work for a growing portfolio of specialty leasing and property‑level transactions at our corporate headquarters.

You will structure, draft, and negotiate leases, licenses, easements, and other agreements; advise on use rights and risk; and collaborate with Leasing, Development, Asset Management and Finance to move transactions to closure.

Qualifications

• Law degree required; active bar membership.
• 1–3+ years of commercial real estate law experience preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal partner for specialty leasing and property transaction opportunities generated by the Property Management Team.
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate leases, licenses, easements, and other legal agreements.
• Handle transactions for common areas and alternative property uses including solar, EV charging stations, ATMs, telecommunications facilities, and similar uses.
• Coordinate with Leasing, Development, Asset Management, Property Management, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
• Provide legal advice on use rights, access, site control, revenue structures, and risk mitigation.
• Support transaction execution including internal approvals and cross-functional coordination.
• Manage multiple transactions in a deadline-driven environment.
