Job summary

The Loch Group in Houston, TX is conducting a confidential search for a senior real estate attorney to join our law firm. The position focuses on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including development projects, financing, and acquisitions and dispositions.

The ideal candidate will have eight or more years of meaningful commercial real estate experience, strong drafting, negotiation and client-management skills, and must be licensed in Texas or eligible to become licensed.

• Ability to manage clients and complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from inception to closing.
• Structure and negotiate development, financing, acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Draft and review purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, and loan documents.
• Advise developers, investors, owners, and other clients throughout project life cycles.

The position will focus on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including:

• Development projects from acquisition through completion
• Real estate financing transactions
• Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties
• Purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, loan documents and related transactional matters
• Advising developers, investors, owners and other real estate clients throughout the life cycle of a project

The ideal candidate will have at least eight (8) years of meaningful commercial real estate law experience and be capable of taking primary responsibility for complex transactions. Strong drafting, negotiation and client-management skills are essential.
