Position Description:

Our client is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3-4 years of commercial real estate experience to join its Chicago office. This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated real estate transactions involving industrial, commercial, and multifamily properties, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing matters, and financing transactions.

The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients throughout the full lifecycle of commercial real estate transactions, from due diligence and contract negotiation through closing and post-closing matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in the acquisition, disposition, and development of commercial real estate assets
• Conduct and manage real estate due diligence, including title review, survey analysis, and site selection matters
• Advise clients on zoning, land use, permitting, and entitlement issues
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and related transactional documents
• Assist with commercial real estate financing transactions
• Counsel clients on new construction and development projects

Qualifications

• Active admission to the Illinois Bar
• 3-4 years of commercial real estate experience with a law firm

• Familiarity with title and survey review, zoning and land use regulations, and real estate due diligence
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
