Job summary

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Atlanta seeks a corporate associate to join its AmLaw 100 firm. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience negotiating purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, and related loan transactions, with strong academics and a Georgia Bar in good standing.

You will work on sophisticated commercial finance and real estate deals, contribute to deal teams, draft and review closing documents, and develop your practice in a collaborative, client-focused

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience negotiating purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, and related loan and acquisition documents.
• Strong academics and work ethic, a positive attitude, and an interest in growing a commercial finance and real estate practice.
• Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills; admitted to the Georgia Bar in good standing.

A Day in the Life

Firm attorneys in Atlanta have worked on many business and legal developments in the Southeast and beyond, including national class action court cases, formation of public companies, financial institution capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and work on important pro bono cases.

The Firm moved to its current location at 201 17th Street NW in 2007 as the first tenant in a new building located at Atlantic Station, a brownfield reclamation and mixed-used development that houses everyday amenities including alternative transportation options within walking distance. The office meets the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.

We Know You

You have 3 to 5 years of meaning experience negotiating purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, loan agreements, ancillary loan documents, closing loans, closing acquisitions and closing dispositions. You have strong academics and work ethic, a positive attitude and an interest in growing your practice in commercial finance and real estate. You have excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills and are admitted (in good standing) to the Georgia Bar.
