Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking an Analyst, Real Estate to maintain financial records for a portfolio of real estate assets and support monthly close. You will manage lease accounting (ASC 842), reconcile accounts, and work with budgets, variances, and lender reporting to ensure accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of real estate accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and excellent collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years accounting experience in real estate, property accounting, or related industry.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices.
• Proficiency in ASC 842 lease accounting, including lease classification, lease schedules, amortization, and related financial statement impacts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for real estate portfolio.
• Support monthly close and prepare financial statements.
• Reconcile accounts and monitor budgets and variances.
• Administer ASC 842 lease accounting and rent schedules.
• Track capex and CIP reports for asset conversion.
• Assist with budgets, reforecasts, and financial modeling for acquisitions, dispositions, developments, or refinance activity.
• Provide audit support and lender reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on real estate accounting matters.
