Job summary

SVA is seeking a Supervisor for our Real Estate Accounting team in Madison, WI. You will direct engagements, supervise staff, and review financial statements with focus on LIHTC and affordable housing clients.

You will mentor junior staff, lead client meetings, and ensure timely billing while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes leadership within a growing professional services firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting required, including experience serving affordable housing, real estate, and/or LIHTC clients preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of partnership taxation, affordable housing, LIHTC compliance, and real estate financial reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct engagements and supervise staff, including review of work papers for accuracy and completeness and review of financial statements for appropriate presentation and disclosures.
• Lead and manage larger, more complex assurance and tax engagements for real estate clients, including LIHTC entities.
• Coach and develop junior staff; conduct staff reviews and provide feedback.
• Coordinate engagement phases, including planning, execution, and scheduling with the manager/principal.
• Lead client meetings, ensure timely billings, and maintain confidentiality per policy.
