Job summary

Bullpen is partnering with a growing real estate investment and operating company to hire an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting across multiple properties and entities. This role offers leadership responsibility and direct involvement in close processes, financial reporting, and process improvements.

You’ll manage close activities, collaborate with property managers, and coordinate with external CPAs on tax and audits while driving efficiency and accuracy across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience in real estate, property accounting, or investment management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple properties and entities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and intercompany transactions.
• Review work by staff and external accounting providers for accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with property managers to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate property financials.
• Support budgeting, cash flow reporting, and lender/investor reporting.
• Coordinate with external CPAs for tax and audits.
• Improve workflows, documentation, and internal controls.
