Job summary

National Realty Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Accountant to manage financial reporting and accounting for a portfolio of properties. You will handle monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, reconciliations, and lease-based billing.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in real estate accounting, strong Excel and software proficiency, and excellent analytical and communication skills. This on-site role supports property operations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, real estate or property management preferred.
• Proficiency with property management/accounting software (Yardi, MRI, Infor, AppFolio).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
• Record and reconcile accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries.
• Review leases to ensure accurate rent, CAM, utilities, and recoveries.
• Process security deposits, move-ins/move-outs, and lease-related adjustments.
• Assist with CAM and real estate tax reconciliations and tenant billings.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for operations and capex.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and track capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Collaborate with property managers and executives to resolve issues.
• Assist audits, tax filings, and lender reporting.
• Provide financial analysis to support acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing.
