Job summary

Element Biosciences Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Reagent Manufacturing team on a 2nd shift in San Diego. You will lead a team of full-time and contractor technicians to ensure production execution across the reagent manufacturing value stream.

The role reports to the Manager, Reagent Manufacturing and emphasizes building processes, coordinating with engineering, quality, and support groups to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering with 2+ years of manufacturing/engineering in life sciences.
• Experience leading or supervising manufacturing personnel.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 preferred; Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs manufacturing leads to meet day-to-day production goals and schedule commitments.
• Accountable for the shift's KPIs and completion of the daily production schedule.
• Establishes production schedules and priorities with management oversight.
• Contributes to technology transfer and new product introduction for pilot/development runs.
• Partners with Process Engineering and other groups to enable troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with Quality to maintain adherence to quality systems and compliance.
• Leads training programs and contractor hiring decisions; supports staffing plans.
• Ensures safety, quality, and efficient operations across formulating, filling, and kitting.
