Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver to safely transport concrete from the batch plant to job sites while performing routine equipment adjustments and maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to regulations, and reliability in delivering materials to diverse projects. A clean driving record, CDL A/B with airbrakes and tank endorsement, and a current DOT medical certificate are required, with flexibility for scheduling and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Commercial Class A or B CDL with airbrakes and tank endorsement.
• Safe driving record with limited violations in recent years.
• DOT Medical Certificate required.
• Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving directions.
• Familiarity with slump measurements.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Physical ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with variable hours, including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites.
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely and in compliance with traffic laws.
• Clean and wash vehicle to remove concrete buildup from exterior parts.
• Report incidents/injuries to management promptly and attend safety meetings.
