Job summary

CalPortland in San Diego is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver responsible for transporting freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintaining safety and communication with management. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.

Requirements include a valid Commercial Class A or B CDL with airbrakes and tank endorsement, a current DOT Medical Certificate, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have Commercial Class A or B CDL with airbrakes and tank endorsement.
• DOT Medical Card required; clean driving record.
• Ability to read maps and follow GPS directions.
• Flexible schedule with overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Clean and wash vehicle to remove concrete buildup on exterior parts
• Must be willing to work according to customer demands
• Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
• Adhere to safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
• Report all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management
