Job summary

CalPortland in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver to transport freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to job sites. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, and maintain clean equipment while meeting customer needs.

The role requires a valid Commercial CDL with airbrakes and tank endorsements, a current DOT medical certificate, and a willing, flexible schedule including overtime, weekends, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Commercial Class A or B license with airbrakes and tank endorsement.
• Safe driving record; DMV H-6 printout; limited violations in past 36 months.
• Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate.
• Ability to read a map and follow GPS directions.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and work in extreme temperatures.
• Flexible schedule; overtime, weekends and nights may be required.
• Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction preferred.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites.
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely.
• Clean and wash vehicle; remove concrete buildup.
• Work according to customer demands.
• Communicate with company personnel by radio.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Report incidents/injuries to management.
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled.
