Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Ready-Mix Sales Representative to drive sales in the Gardena, CA market. You will cultivate relationships with decision makers for concrete supply, understand pricing models, and develop a pipeline of target customers to achieve growth.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of sales experience in construction materials, strong communication, and organizational skills, plus proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools. A clean driving record is required.

• Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in the construction materials industry.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to discuss industry, market and product knowledge in a variety of audiences.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Team-player both internally and externally.
• Mid-level skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clean driving record (for last five years).

The Ready-Mix Sales Representative is responsible for all sales and sales-related activities in the assigned territory. Related activities include customer care, monitoring market trends, forecasting and accurate reporting.

Compensation

$80,000 - $95,000 Annual Salary DOE

Preferred:

• Experience with Public Entities (state, county, city governments, etc.)
• Background in construction and/or manufacturing of construction products
• Familiar with CRM and customer contact databases
• Familiarity with ERP - SAP

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
