Job summary

CalPortland seeks a Ready-Mix Plant Manager to lead production, operations and facilities in the Fresno area. You will plan, budget, optimize equipment usage, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and manage personnel to meet customer quality requirements.

The role collaborates with batch men and drivers, drives cost control, and reports production statistics to ensure on-time delivery and quality. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering field (Mechanical/Electrical/Mining/Civil) or equivalent is a plus.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience running a ready-mix operation, including yard production and product delivery.
• Experience with OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience managing employees across multiple locations.
• Experience implementing driver training programs and customer service processes.
• Experience with SAP or an ERP system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, environmental matters, cost control, production and maintenance for ready-mix facilities.
• Establish and monitor a production plan with accurate cost and inventory control; analyze productivity and material data.
• Document production statistics and prepare reports and analyses.
• Oversee mobile equipment and capital/operating budget processes.
• Develop plans to improve performance and reduce operating costs.
• Ensure quality processes deliver a quality product to customers.
• Comply with OSHA/CalPortland regulations and lead safety programs.
